Kirsty MacMillan
Kirsty is a single mom with 2 teenage boys who she adores :)
Kirsty works full-time as an Anesthesia Assistant as well as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario. Practicing in hospitals since 1998 in Emergency Departments, ICUs, NICUs and Operating Rooms Kirsty has over 25 years of experience in critical care medicine.
Kirsty discovered SUP in 2015 and has been racing ever since. She joined Paddle Monster in 2018 to train with Coach Larry Cain, who she is lucky enough to live in the same city and paddle with! After a lot of dedicated time spent working on technique, she got her Paddle Canada Advanced Certification for coaching SUP in 2020 and loves spending time on the water coaching whenever she can. Her first international race was the Graveyard at Carolina Cup in 2022, and since then has done another Graveyard, ICF World Championships in Poland, and is heading to the ICF Worlds in Thailand in November (2023)!
