Sandbridge Paddle Fest (Formerly the HEI HEI) moved due to weather

Due to the high NE wind and surf advisories, we have made the decision to postpone the Sandbridge Paddle Fest to Saturday, October 19th! Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we are making this call based on our concern for safety.

The Sandbridge Paddle Fest (formerly known as the Hei Hei) will be held in Virginia Beach, VA on October 12th and 13th, 2013 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12TH

SUP Open Ocean Race at Little Island Park

LONG COURSE: 4-5 total miles* or SHORT COURSE: 2 miles*

This will be a SURF/SLALOM style course with a beach start, multiple laps going out through the surf, negotiating buoy turns and short run sprints on the beach in between laps.*

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20TH Kayak, Surfski and OC-1: 6-8 mile course in Back Bay* Kid's SUP: 1 mile course in Back Bay*

12-2:00 pm: SUP Expo/Demos and Post-Race Party/Awards Ceremony located at The Baja Restaurant

SUNDAY OCT 20th:

7:30-8:45 am: Registration and Check-In at The Baja Restaurant

8:45 am: Mandatory Pre-Race Safety Briefing

9:00 am: Back Bay Challenge Race Start

9:05 am: Fun Paddle Start

9:30 am: Kid's SUP Race Start

9:30 am: Expo/Demos Open

12-2:00 pm: Post-Race Party/Awards Ceremony at The Baja Restaurant
