Kickstarter: Support “The Outrigger Film”
THE OUTRIGGER is a story about how people find meaning in their lives through a connection to the ocean, the power of sports and being part of a community, the Ohana. Lifetime athlete and narrator, John Skorstad shares his wisdom and thoughts on how the sport serves as an inspiration for our lives. He is joined by five seasoned paddlers from the Dana Outrigger Canoe Club, based in Southern California.
We will follow the athletes to distant, unfamiliar waters of the Pacific Ocean and watch them battle through powerful waves. The team will visit Polynesian islands and show how people from around the world are connected by a common thread, outrigger paddling. The poetic narration and cinematic imagery will take you on an epic journey like no other paddling film has done before.
