Learn Ocean Paddling Skills with Dan Gavere
There are a ton of clinics coming up at races around the country. For those of you who are concerned about paddling in the ocean at the Carolina Cup, Surf to Sound, Key West Classic, BOP, Bodhi’s Revenge, Sandbridge, wherever there is a race through swell, take Dan Gavere’s clinic.
I’m posting this because I know there are a ton of really great paddlers with the strength and stamina to do the Graveyard Race at the Carolina Cup, but who lack the ocean skills, the sea legs. This could put you over the hump and get you to the end of this bucket-list race.
Even if you pick up one tip to get you out through the waves, or you hone in your low brace, to fix your stance to a more stable base, or learn how to keel as you surf in, it’ll be worth it. This is a MUST TAKE CLINIC if you want to get better at paddling in the ocean.
