THE FROTH: Surf to Sound Race to add new OC and Surfski Course on Sunday

THE FROTH (OPEN TO OC1, OC2, SURFSKI AND DOUBLE SURFSKI) SUNDAY 8AM

Water start and finish on the sound side, out into the ocean, around a buoy in front of the Blockade Runner Beach Resort and back via the ICWW.

Details:

New! The Froth is a new 11-mile longboat endurance race starting and finishing at the sound side of the Blockade Runner Beach Resort. Paddlers will leave the Blockade Runner on the Sound Side and travel south toward Masonboro inlet and making a left, out the inlet and around the south end jetty, turning north to a buoy on the ocean side of the Blockade Runner Beach Resort. They will make a left hand turn around the buoy and head back toward the south end jetty where instead of turning right back onto Bank’s Channel, they will continue straight to the ICWW, turning north (right) until reaching Mott’s Channel and turning right toward the blockade runner and the finish.

They will be updating registration and the website in the next week including information on the SUDS part of the event equation.
