Make a board 34lbs or less for the obese people learning to paddle, something that supports 300lbs+ and stable and still able to carry

What kind of paddling settings and conditions are near your shop?

Lakes and Rivers, in Phoenix, Arizona the weather is mild making it easy to paddle 365 days per year

What is it about paddling that gets you up in the morning? That gets you excited?

Being on the lakes or river exploring Arizona solo or with a group of friends. Spreading the stoke about SUP is cliche but true, it is what is most rewarding to see the smiles on faces when they realize how easy it is to get started!

Describe your local paddle community. When do you get together and what are they like?

Our flatwater community here in Phoenix is fantastic! We have a consistent group of 200-400 paddlers that join us weekly for Sunset Happy Hours, Sunrise Yoga, and weekday Power Hours for race training. While everyone comes from different backgrounds we all share the love for SUP and our community just keeps growing!

What local events do you have and what are their dates and locations?

Shooting for a Spring/Summer event here in Phoenix, we are in negotiations for a new location more affordable which is going to be amazing! Will share details ASAP!! Starting June 1st we hold Sunset Happy Hour Paddles every Friday night at 5pm, and monthly we have Moonlight Paddles which can attract upwards off 100 people and we light up light a Christmas Parade with lights and glow sticks, it is a BLAST!

Best piece of SUP advice you give to paddlers?

A proper board fitting is essential to ensure your first time is a wonderful experience. Allow our fit experts to match you to the right board, then remember; Soft Knees! Breathe and every now and then wiggle your toes. Most of all look up and enjoy the scenery!

What are your must-have accessories for every paddler?

Leash, PFD, Sunscreen and Hydration! And a waterproof floating phone case to document your excursion!
