Can you describe the different races and courses?
Standup for the Cure’s focus is to introduce non-paddlers to the healthy lifestyle of standup paddling, while building a supportive community bound by the desire to rid the world of breast cancer, The Standup for the Cure Atlanta Event features instruction from top international paddleboard experts as well as breast cancer screening, live music, and a health and fitness expo. Attendees will also enjoy a great festival with catered lunch and beverages. Ambry Genetics, Standup for the Cure’s national sponsor, leads the visionary family of partners which includes West Marine Products (Gold Sponsor), Maui Jim (Gold Sponsor) and Cobian Footwear. There is also an overwhelming support from local sponsors: Mountain High Outfitters, Go With The Flow and Mr. Clean Car Wash.
What kind of paddling settings and conditions will racers face?
We were fortunate to have the at Lanier Islands Resort, just outside of the city. The location is suburb for novice paddlers due to the flat water of the lake and Sunset Cove is full of added benefits with this location choice.

There are groceried avaiable at the local stores: Publix, Kroger, & Fresh Market. There is also a country store right outside the entrance to Lanier Islands Resort.
