Can you describe the different races and courses?
We offer a 2 and 5 mile race as well as a kids short course race. Our finale is a 4-person relay race with lots of buoy turns….all the action can be seen from the beach. Lake Natoma is one of the finest lakes in California for paddling. The entire lake is a 5. MPH zone (no motor boats on the lake) … its a straight, flat and fast course.
What kind of paddling settings and conditions will racers face?
Perfect conditions to see how fast you really can go. The entire lake is a 5MPH zone, it is protected on both sides from the wind and there is little to no current.
What makes your event great? What will paddlers love about coming to your event?
PaddleSplash is a family fun event at a world class lake for paddling. How often do you race in conditions so perfect. Proceeds from the event will fund our upcoming kids team kicking off in the Spring of 2017

A pre race clinics will be conducted by Nor Cal SUP- Please visit our site for details.
Where can people get paddle gear like PFDs and Hydration packs?
California Canoe and Kayak will be on site race day for all your paddleboarding needs. CCK will have demo boards, rentals and PFDS for rent.
Are there paddleboard rentals available and if yes, where? Contact info?
Contact California Canoe and Kayak at 916-851-3600 to reserve a board for race day-they will deliver to beach on race day.
Where can people buy groceries?
Whole Foods Folsom is a quick 10 min drive form Lake Natoma.
Where can people stay? Do you have a hotel you can recommend and contact info?
Lake Natoma in 702 Gold Lake Dr. in Folsom.
What great local restaurants can you recommend?
Mikuni Sushi 4323 Hazel Ave, is a quick 5 minutes from Lake Natoma, BEST Sushi you have ever had! Or grab a sandwich at Beach Hut Deli 2095 Golden Center Drive, Gold River.

Does your event benefit a charity and if so, can you tell us about them?
Yes, we are kicking off NorCal Groms in Spring of 2017 a kids SUP team for alll of Nor Cal Youth.
