Does your event benefit a charity and if so, can you tell us about them?
The BPB will benefit children who make their home at the Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, Meadowland campus. The children have resided on a 40 acre campus in the heart of Boerne for over 30 years. Many in the community are unaware of the abused and neglected children who have found healing, hope, love and support right here in our midst. Since 1986, over five thousand children have been served. RMYA Meadowland is a nonprofit organization, and the state pays less than 65 percent of the actual cost to care for these amazing children. To recognize and support their healing, Random Beer Garden, Anchor Paddleboards and RMYA have teamed up to raise money and awareness of the needs of children who live at RMYA in Boerne. These children deserve every opportunity to become happy, healthy and productive adults. With the support of all of you, we can end the cycle of abuse by restoring hope, one paddle at a time.
