So you’re training for a crossing? If so, don’t underestimate what it takes to do a crossing. The personal and athletic commitment required is not to be ignored.
This program starts March 1 and is a 14 week training program specifically designed for the Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis and is run by Coach Victoria Burgess, Ph.D.
Whether you’re going solo or relay, it’s time to start training! With this program, each paddler will receive:
a weekly SUP training program,
weekly strength and conditioning programs,
individual nutrition template for your crossing day
AND one group zoom session about a month before crossing for final prep.
Coach Victoria is very experienced in open ocean crossing. She has competed in the Molokai to Oahu championships, the Maui to Molokai crossing in Hawaii, and most notably was the first female to cross the Florida Straits on a SUP, 115 miles non-stop from Cuba to Key West and is a Ph.D. in human performance and is a certified sports nutritionist (CISSN).
