Be a paddle volunteer at the Lake Murray Triathlon (4/14/24)!

Hello everyone and happy Spring! The Lake Murray Triathlon — SUNDAY, April 14th, Dreher Island State Park — is looking for a few good, confident paddlers (SUP or kayak) to support the swim leg of this event. We’d arrive around 7:15am or before, paddle support meeting at 7:30, on the water by 7:45, triathlon begins at 8, we’re off the water by 9:30ish. As a volunteer at this event, you’ll gain FREE ENTRY to this beautiful state park, which means you should stick around after the swim portion is over and continue to paddle with some of us around the gorgeous islands of Dreher Island and beyond. It’s great paddling for sure. Now we just need to pray for nice weather!

The Lake Murray Paddle Club earns $25 for each paddler who shows up to volunteer. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Our presence is very much appreciated, as some of you know from experience — some of the newer triathletes need a little bit of help and assurance on the swim course.
