Coach Travis Grant talks about April and may training, the outrigger season in Hawaii
In Hawaii, they have races every weekend. Each week the distances grow leading up to the Maui to Molokai. Travis discussed the Maui to Molokai and the Maui to Oahu, what it takes physically, technically, etc.
The M2M was 22 miles and took just over 2 hours. This weekend is the Molokai to Oahu relay. It’s a great progression and as you gain experience in the channel, in the crossings, you can move toward something like a M2O.
The relay race is a unique opportunity to get out there with a friend and really get a taste of what it’s like to do the M2O.
