ABOUT CHRIS CHAPMAN: ⠀
Chris Chapman recently left his post as the Lead Strength and Conditioning Specialist at the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario, Toronto, ON after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
Chris’ credentials include Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and has his Masters in biomechanics. The list of credentials is too long to include everything in this post. However, in addition to his primary role as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Chris has been educated and trained in numerous roles within the athlete support team: biomechanist, athletic therapist, physiologist, anthropometrist, discipline manager and scientist. This gives him a vast breadth of knowledge, scope of practice and methodological processes to overcome obstacles and solve problems in high performance sport. Further, this allows him to better collaborate, communicate, and assist with other team members whose primary tasks are within those roles. Team members like Coach Larry Cain and two new coaches in Surfski and Outrigger canoe to be announced in the coming weeks.⠀
Chris has trained athletes to the highest level and we are thrilled to have him as part of our team. ⠀
